Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1: Day 1: Delhi to Jodhpur and Mehrangarh Fort
Your driver arrives at your Delhi pickup point at 4:00 am. Settle in with water and a light snack. By 7:30 am you stop for breakfast and tea near Behror or Shahpura. Keep the break short, since the day is long.
Around 11:30 am you cross the Jaipur belt, and by 1:00 pm you stop for lunch near Kishangarh or Beawar. You may want a simple vegetarian thali, which is easy on the stomach during a long drive. The scenery now shifts from hills and fields to the drier landscape of Marwar.
You reach Jodhpur around 3:30 pm, check in and freshen up. By 4:30 pm you head to Mehrangarh Fort. Check entry timings in advance, since last entry is often earlier than closing. Take the audio guide and walk through the palace rooms, courtyards, museum galleries and ramparts. The view of the blue houses from the upper levels is the highlight, especially in late light. Allow around two hours.
At 7:00 pm you walk or drive to the Clock Tower and Sardar Market. The lanes around it are busy and full of spice shops, textiles, juttis and snack stalls. Try the local mirchi vada, mawa kachori and lassi. By 8:30 pm you return to your hotel for dinner and rest. Overnight in Jodhpur.
Day 2: Day 2: Jodhpur Sightseeing and Return to Delhi
After an early breakfast, you check out at 7:30 am and visit Jaswant Thada around 8:00 am. The white marble cenotaph with its carved panels and quiet gardens looks lovely in the morning light. Spend about 45 minutes.
At 9:00 am you drive to Umaid Bhawan Palace. Part of the building is a museum open to visitors, while the rest operates as a hotel with restricted access. Look for the royal artefacts, clocks, vintage cars and Art Deco design. Timings and tickets vary, so your driver will confirm them. Plan about 60 to 90 minutes.
If time allows, around 10:45 am you can visit Toorji Ka Jhalra, a restored stepwell near the market, for photographs. Lunch is at 11:45 am, and you begin the return drive soon after, ideally by 12:30 pm.
You stop for tea and a short rest around 3:30 pm near Beawar or Kishangarh, and for dinner near Behror or Shahpura around 8:00 pm. Depending on traffic, you reach Delhi between 10:30 pm and 12:00 am, and your driver drops you at your doorstep.

Know Before You Go
- Carry a valid government photo ID (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport/DL) for every traveller — hotels and some checkpoints ask for it.
- Pack according to One Day Trip From Delhi's season — check the local weather a few days before departure and pack accordingly.
- Keep your booking voucher and driver/vehicle details handy (sent by Cab Trip Zone after confirmation).
- Please be ready at the pickup point 10–15 minutes before the scheduled time to keep the itinerary on track.
- Carry some cash for personal expenses, tips and anything not covered under Inclusions — card/UPI acceptance can be patchy in remote areas.
- Mobile network can be weak in ghats, valleys and remote stretches of the route — inform family of your rough schedule in advance.
- Hill/high-altitude routes can cause motion sickness or breathlessness — carry basic medication and inform the driver if you need frequent stops.
- This is a pilgrimage route — dress modestly at temples, and expect queues during festival dates.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How far is Jodhpur from Delhi and how long does the drive take?
It is roughly 590 to 630 km, and the drive takes about 9 to 11 hours each way including breaks. Fog, tolls, roadworks and festival traffic can add time.
2. Is a 2 day trip to Jodhpur really practical?
It is possible but tiring. You get one evening and half a day in Jodhpur. For a relaxed experience, a 3-day plan is better, and we can convert your booking.
3. What time should we leave Delhi?
We recommend leaving around 4:00 am. This helps you reach Jodhpur by mid-afternoon and visit Mehrangarh Fort in the evening.
4. Are entry tickets, meals and the hotel included?
Inclusions depend on your booking. Entry tickets, audio guides and meals are generally paid directly unless stated otherwise. Please confirm with our team while booking.
5. Can we visit Jaisalmer or Osian on this trip?
Not realistically in two days. Both need extra time. We suggest a 3 or 4-day itinerary to include them.
6. Can you arrange a one-way cab with a return by train or flight?
Yes, in many cases. A one-way drop to Jodhpur and a return by train or flight can reduce driving time, subject to availability and your preference.

Delhi To Jodhpur 2Day Trip — Travel Guide
Delhi to Jodhpur 2 Day Trip: Plan a Fast-Track Journey to the Blue City
Jodhpur is one of the great Rajasthan cities, known for Mehrangarh Fort, blue-washed old houses, spice markets and royal heritage. For travellers in Delhi NCR, it is also a real distance away, so a short trip takes planning. Our Delhi to Jodhpur 2 day trip is designed as a fast-track private-cab plan with an early start, a fort evening, a palace and memorial morning and a late-night return.
How far is Jodhpur from Delhi?
The distance from Delhi to Jodhpur is about 590 to 630 km, depending on your pickup point and route. The usual drive passes through Gurugram, Manesar, Behror, Shahpura, Jaipur, Kishangarh and Beawar. Plan for 9 to 11 hours each way including breaks. Fog in winter, roadworks, festival traffic and weekend crowds can add time, which is why we plan with buffer.
Is a 2 day trip realistic?
Yes, with the right expectations. A 2 day plan gives you one evening and half a day in the city. That is enough for Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, a walk through the old market and a look at the palace museum. It is not enough for desert safaris, Osian, Bishnoi villages or a slow Blue City exploration. If those are on your wish list, the 3-day version or an add-on to Jaisalmer is the better choice.
Why choose a Delhi to Jodhpur cab?
A Delhi to Jodhpur cab gives you door-to-door travel without railway timings or bus changes. You stop when you want, eat where you like and arrive in Jodhpur with your own vehicle for local sightseeing. For groups of friends or families, sharing one cab is also a practical way to split costs. For long journeys, a driver experienced on highways and night-time returns is the most important part of the trip.
What the two days cover
Day one is the early start, highway breakfast, lunch near Beawar or on the way, hotel check-in, a late-afternoon visit to Mehrangarh Fort and an evening at the Clock Tower and Sardar Market. Day two covers Jaswant Thada, the Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum, an optional stepwell visit and the return drive. Along the way, you can try Rajasthani thali, dal baati churma, mirchi vada and Jodhpur's famous makhaniya lassi.
Great for couples, friends and heritage lovers
Couples can ask for a hotel with a fort view. Friends often enjoy the road trip aspect. Photography lovers prefer the early light at Jaswant Thada and the golden hour at the fort. If you are searching for a Jodhpur tour package from Delhi that is simple and private, this plan fits. For families with children or elders, we suggest adding a second night.
Best time to visit Jodhpur
October to March gives the most comfortable weather for fort walking and city sightseeing. December and January mornings are cool, and fog can slow the highway. April to June is very hot, so we recommend early starts and evening visits. The monsoon is relatively mild, though rain can slow the road. Check the weather and highway status before you leave.
Practical tips from our team
Sleep well the night before, since the start is very early. Carry water, snacks, a hat and comfortable shoes. Keep cash for small entry fees, parking and street food. Book your hotel early in peak months such as October to February and during festivals. Confirm fort, palace and museum timings with your driver before you go.
Book with Wonder India Cab Trip Zone
We focus on punctual pickups, clean cabs and drivers who are comfortable on long Rajasthan routes. Share your pickup point in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram or Ghaziabad, your travel dates and your group size, and our team will help you finalise the plan. Want to add Jaipur, Pushkar or Jaisalmer? Just ask.
