Day 1: Munnar Full Day Local SightseeingDay 1: Eravikulam, Tea Museum, Mattupetty and Echo Point Your driver arrives at your hotel at 8:00 am. After breakfast, you reach Eravikulam National Park around 8:30 am, when the air is crisp and the crowds are thin. A forest shuttle takes you to the walking area, where the Nilgiri tahr is often seen on the grassy slopes. Allow about two hours. If the park is closed for the calving season, your driver will replace it with a tea-estate viewpoint. At 11:00 am you visit the Tea Museum, where old machinery and photographs explain how tea is grown and processed. Taste fresh tea and pick up packets and homemade chocolates. By 12:15 pm you reach Mattupetty Dam, a calm reservoir ringed by tea estates. Walk along the edge, and take a boat ride if you like. At 1:00 pm you stop at Echo Point for a quick, fun break, followed by lunch around 1:30 pm at a local restaurant. At 3:00 pm you drive towards Kundala, passing tea slopes and a scenic lake. Spend about an hour here, with a chai stop on the way back. By 5:00 pm you return to Munnar for shopping in the local market, picking up spices, tea and coffee. By 6:00 pm you are back at your stay for a relaxed dinner and rest. Overnight in Munnar. Day 2: Top Station, Waterfalls and Viewpoints After breakfast, you leave at 8:00 am for Top Station, one of the highest viewpoints in the region. The drive takes a little over an hour, with plenty of photo stops. If the sky is clear, the ridge views are wide and memorable. Mist can roll in quickly, so keep a jacket handy. Spend about 45 minutes here. At 10:30 am you stop at Lockhart Gap, a scenic viewpoint on the hill road, and at 11:30 am you visit Attukal Waterfalls, set among tea and cardamom hills. Flow depends on the season, being strongest after the monsoon. Lunch is at 1:00 pm. At 2:30 pm you visit Lakkam Waterfalls on the road towards Marayoor, then continue to the Pothamedu viewpoint around 4:00 pm for sweeping views over the tea country. Depending on your energy, we can swap in a spice garden or a tea-estate walk. By 5:30 pm you return to Munnar. Your driver drops you at your hotel by 6:00 pm, or at the bus stand or a restaurant of your choice. If you are leaving for another destination, tell us in advance and we will adjust the schedule.
