Day-wise itinerary
Day 1: Day 1: Delhi to Shimla7:00 AM: Your driver arrives at your pickup point in Delhi. Load the luggage and start towards Shimla via Panipat, Karnal and Ambala.
9:30 AM: Breakfast halt on the highway near Karnal. Enjoy hot parathas and chai, and stretch your legs before the long stretch ahead.
12:30 PM: Lunch halt near Chandigarh or Kalka. After lunch, the road begins its steady climb through Solan and the pine-covered hills.
3:00 PM: Arrive in Shimla and check in at your hotel. Rest and freshen up after the drive.
4:30 PM: Take a relaxed walk along the Mall Road and the Ridge. Visit Scandal Point, browse the shops and enjoy the cool evening air.
7:30 PM: Dinner and an early night.
Day 2: Day 2: Shimla Sightseeing and Kufri8:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
9:00 AM: Drive to Jakhoo Temple, the highest point in town. Enjoy the view and take care of your belongings around the monkeys.
11:00 AM: Continue to Kufri, about 16 km from Shimla. Walk through the green slopes, enjoy the viewpoints and try pony rides or local snacks if you wish.
1:30 PM: Lunch at a local restaurant. Try siddu or simple Himachali food.
3:00 PM: Return to Shimla and visit Christ Church on the Ridge, followed by the Lakkar Bazaar for wooden crafts and souvenirs.
5:00 PM: Free time on the Mall Road for cafes, shopping and photographs.
6:30 PM: Return to the hotel for dinner and rest.
Day 3: Day 3: Shimla to Manali7:30 AM: Breakfast and check-out. Begin the drive towards Manali via Bilaspur and Mandi.
10:30 AM: Tea halt near Bilaspur, where the road runs close to the Gobind Sagar reservoir. A good place to take photographs.
1:00 PM: Lunch near Mandi. This is a good point to take a proper break before entering the Kullu valley.
3:00 PM: Stop at the Pandoh Dam viewpoint and a riverside spot near Kullu, where the Beas runs fast and clear.
5:30 PM: Arrive in Manali and check in at your hotel. Rest and enjoy the mountain views.
7:30 PM: Dinner and an easy evening.
Day 4: Day 4: Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel and Sissu8:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel and start towards Solang Valley, about 14 km from Manali.
9:00 AM: Spend time at Solang Valley. Try paragliding, ropeway rides, zorbing or simply walk on the open meadow, depending on season and availability.
12:00 PM: Continue through the Atal Tunnel, one of the longest highway tunnels at this altitude, to Sissu on the Lahaul side.
1:00 PM: Lunch near Sissu. Walk by the lake and the waterfall viewpoints, and enjoy the dry, wide landscape beyond the tunnel.
3:30 PM: Begin the return drive to Manali, with photo stops as you like.
6:00 PM: Reach the hotel. Rest and freshen up.
7:30 PM: Dinner at the hotel or a recommended local restaurant.
Day 5: Day 5: Manali Local Sightseeing and Naggar8:30 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
9:30 AM: Visit the Hadimba Devi Temple, a wooden temple inside a cedar forest. It is calm and especially lovely in the morning.
11:00 AM: Visit the Manu Temple and walk through Old Manali. Browse the small cafes and shops.
12:30 PM: Vashisht village and its hot springs. A short walk through the lanes is worth the time.
2:00 PM: Lunch at a local cafe or restaurant.
3:00 PM: Drive to Naggar, about 20 km away, to see Naggar Castle and the Roerich Art Gallery. Skip this stop if you prefer more free time in Manali.
5:30 PM: Return to Manali for shopping on Mall Road. Shawls, caps and dry fruits are popular buys.
7:30 PM: Dinner and rest.
Day 6: Day 6: Manali to Delhi7:00 AM: Early breakfast and check-out. Begin the return journey towards Delhi.
10:00 AM: Tea halt near Mandi.
1:00 PM: Lunch halt near Bilaspur or Kiratpur. This is the main break of the day.
