Pune To Hampi Badami 3Day Trip

Day 1: Day 1: Pune to BadamiYour Wonder India Cab Trip Zone driver picks you up at 5:00 AM from your home or hotel in Pune. Starting early helps you avoid the morning traffic and reach Badami in good time. Have breakfast at a highway restaurant around 8:00 AM, with a tea break later. The road passes Satara and Kolhapur, and you cross into Karnataka after Nipani. Stop for lunch at about 12:00 PM at a local restaurant, then continue to Badami and reach by 1:30 PM. Check in, freshen up and rest briefly. At 3:00 PM, begin your visit to the Badami Cave Temples, climbing the steps to the four caves carved into the red sandstone cliff. Spend around 90 minutes here, as the carvings of Vishnu, Shiva and the Jain caves deserve slow viewing. At 5:00 PM, walk down to the Agastya Lake shore and see the Bhutanatha temples in the evening light. Return to your hotel by 6:30 PM. Dinner and overnight stay in Badami. Cave temples usually close around 5:30 to 6:00 PM, so we keep the order of visits tight.

Day 2: Day 2: Badami to Hampi via Pattadakal and AiholeHave breakfast and check out by 7:30 AM. Drive about 30 minutes to Pattadakal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and reach by 8:15 AM. Spend about 75 minutes exploring the Virupaksha Temple, the Sangameshwara Temple and the other shrines, where northern and southern styles stand side by side. At 9:45 AM, drive 20 minutes to Aihole and walk through the Durga Temple, the Lad Khan Temple and the small museum, spending around 90 minutes. At 11:30 AM, begin the drive to Hampi, about 3.5 hours away, with an early lunch stop on the way at around 12:30 PM. Reach Hampi by 3:30 PM, check in and refresh. At 4:15 PM, visit the Vittala Temple complex, the Stone Chariot and the musical pillars, spending about 75 minutes. At 5:30 PM, drive to Hemakuta Hill or the Tungabhadra riverside for a quiet sunset view over the ruins. Return by 6:30 PM. Dinner and overnight stay in Hampi.

Day 3: Day 3: Hampi to PuneHave an early breakfast and leave your hotel by 6:30 AM. At 7:00 AM, visit the Virupaksha Temple, which is still in daily worship, and see its tall gopuram and the long ruined bazaar street. Spend about 75 minutes. At 8:15 AM, see the Sasivekalu Ganesha and Kadalekalu Ganesha statues, and enjoy the view from the lower slopes of Hemakuta Hill. By 9:00 AM, begin the return drive to Pune, about 580 km and 10 to 11 hours away. Stop for lunch near Hubballi or Dharwad at around 1:00 PM, with tea breaks on the way. The route passes Belagavi and Kolhapur before reaching Pune. Expect to arrive by around 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, depending on traffic and weather. Your driver drops you at your preferred location, and the trip ends. If you feel this day is too long, we can add an extra night at Hampi or Hubballi.
