Day 1: Pune to Alibaug Full Day TourAlibaug is about 150 km from Pune, a 3.5 to 4 hour drive via the Pune-Mumbai expressway, Panvel, and Pen. It is a coastal town in Raigad district, known for its beaches, sea forts, and relaxed seaside vibe, which makes it a refreshing one day getaway. 5:30 AM: Depart from Pune Take the Pune-Mumbai expressway towards Panvel, then continue on the Mumbai-Goa highway towards Pen and Alibaug. Stop for chai and breakfast near Khopoli or Panvel around 7:30 AM. 9:30 AM: Alibaug Beach and Kolaba Fort Start at Alibaug Beach, a calm black-sand beach ideal for a stroll. At low tide, you can walk to Kolaba Fort, a 17th century sea fort built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Check the tide timings before you go, as the walk is not possible at high tide. Allow about 1.5 hours. 11:30 AM: Varsoli Beach and Nagaon Beach Visit Varsoli Beach, a quieter and cleaner stretch of sand, and Nagaon Beach, known for water sports like banana rides, jet skiing, and parasailing.
