Day-wise itinerary

Day 1: Day 1: Kochi to Wayanad via Thamarassery Churam8:00 AM: Your driver reaches your Kochi pickup point on time, and you load the luggage and start the drive towards Thrissur. 10:00 AM: Take a breakfast break near Thrissur. Try the local appam or puttu with kadala curry, then continue north through Malappuram. 12:30 PM: Reach the Kozhikode belt and stop for a proper Malabar lunch. Biryani and fish fry are very popular here, so ask your driver for a clean and reliable restaurant. 2:00 PM: Start the climb into the Western Ghats. The Thamarassery Churam road has nine hairpin bends, and the scenery changes quickly from town traffic to misty forest slopes. 3:30 PM: Stop at Lakkidi View Point, one of the highest spots on the route. Walk to the railing, enjoy the valley view and have a hot tea from a roadside stall. 4:30 PM: Visit Pookode Lake. This calm freshwater lake is surrounded by forest, and you can enjoy a short walk, pedal boating or simply sit by the water. 6:00 PM: Check in at your hotel or resort in Vythiri or Kalpetta. Freshen up, rest and enjoy a quiet evening in the cool hill air. Overnight stay in Wayanad.
Day 2: Day 2: Soochipara, Edakkal Caves and Phantom Rock8:00 AM: Have breakfast at the hotel and leave for Soochipara Waterfalls, around 45 minutes to an hour from Kalpetta. 9:00 AM: Walk through the forest path to Soochipara. The three-tier waterfall is best enjoyed slowly, so take your time for photos and quiet moments by the pool area where permitted. 11:30 AM: Drive towards Ambalavayal through tea and coffee estates. This is a lovely stretch to roll down the windows. 12:30 PM: Take a lunch break at a local restaurant near Sultan Bathery. Try Kerala meals with fish curry or vegetarian thali. 2:00 PM: Climb to Edakkal Caves. The route includes a trek and steps, so go at your own pace. Inside, you see ancient carvings, and from the top, the valley view is spectacular. 4:30 PM: Stop at Phantom Rock, a skull-shaped formation near Ambalavayal. It makes a fun photo spot, especially in the soft afternoon light. 5:30 PM: Shop for local spices, tea and coffee on the way back. 6:00 PM: Return to the hotel for rest and dinner.
Day 3: Day 3: Banasura Sagar Dam and Return to Kochi8:00 AM: After breakfast, check out and load your luggage. Drive towards Banasura Sagar Dam via the scenic Padinjarathara road. 9:30 AM: Reach the dam and walk along the top. Look for the small islands in the reservoir and enjoy views of the Banasura hills. Boating is available at certain times, subject to the weather. 11:30 AM: Stop in Kalpetta for souvenirs. Pepper, cardamom, honey, banana chips and homemade chocolate make great gifts. 1:00 PM: Have lunch in Kalpetta before beginning the return drive. 2:00 PM: Descend the ghat road with a short rest stop for tea. 6:00 PM: Cross Kozhikode and continue towards Thrissur. Take a short dinner break on the way. 9:00 PM: Reach Kochi and get dropped at your hotel, home or station. Trip ends with good memories.
