Day 2: Day 2: Mysore to Coorg via SrirangapatnaAfter breakfast, check out by 8:00 AM and start for Srirangapatna, about 30 minutes away. At 8:45 AM, visit the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, an old Vishnu temple on the banks of the Cauvery. At 9:45 AM, see Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace (Dariya Daulat Bagh), known for its painted walls and teak pillars, followed by a short stop at the Gumbaz, the tomb of Tipu Sultan and Hyder Ali. By 11:00 AM, continue towards Coorg, about 3 hours further. Take a lunch stop along the way near Kushalnagar at around 1:00 PM. If time allows, visit the Cauvery Nisargadhama island, a small forest park reached by a hanging bridge. Reach Madikeri by 3:30 PM, check in and rest. At 4:30 PM, head to Raja's Seat, the old royal viewpoint. It is a great place to watch the evening light roll across the hills, and there is a small garden and musical fountain nearby. Return to the hotel by 6:00 PM, and spend the evening relaxing or shopping for Coorg coffee, honey and spices in the local market. Overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 3: Day 3: Coorg Local SightseeingStart with breakfast at 8:00 AM and leave by 8:30 AM for Abbey Falls, a short walk through coffee and spice plantations to a rushing waterfall, best enjoyed in the morning. After about an hour, visit the Madikeri Fort and the Omkareshwara Temple, a unique Indo-Islamic style shrine with a calm pond. By 11:30 AM, drive towards Dubare Elephant Camp, on the Cauvery river. Here you can watch elephants being bathed and fed, and enjoy a short boat ride across the river when available. Have lunch near Kushalnagar at 1:30 PM. In the afternoon at 2:30 PM, visit Bylakuppe, India's largest Tibetan settlement. The Namdroling Monastery, with its golden Buddha statues and bright murals, is a peaceful and photogenic stop. Allow an hour here. Return towards Madikeri by 5:00 PM, with a coffee estate or spice plantation stop on the way if you wish. You are back at the hotel by 6:00 PM. Evening free for local food, including Coorg-style pandi curry or kadambuttu if you eat non-vegetarian, or plenty of vegetarian options at most restaurants. Overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 4: Day 4: Coorg to Chikmagalur via TalacauveryAfter an early breakfast, check out by 8:00 AM. Drive about 45 minutes to Talacauvery, the sacred origin of the river Cauvery. Climb the stone steps to the Brahmagiri viewpoint for sweeping valley views, then visit the temple and the small tank where the river begins. Spend around 1.5 hours here. At 10:30 AM, continue towards Chikmagalur through the Western Ghats via Sakleshpur. The scenery is excellent, with dense forest, curves and tea or coffee estates. Stop for lunch in Sakleshpur at around 1:00 PM. If the weather is clear, visit the Manjarabad Fort, a star-shaped fort near Sakleshpur with views of the hills. Resume the drive and reach Chikmagalur by 4:30 PM. Check in at your hotel or homestay and rest. At 5:00 PM, walk or drive to the nearby Bandekallu or a local coffee estate viewpoint to see the sunset. Return by 6:00 PM. Dinner and overnight stay in Chikmagalur. The evening is cool, so it is a good idea to keep a light jacket handy.

Day 5: Day 5: Chikmagalur Local SightseeingHave an early breakfast and leave by 8:00 AM for Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka. The drive is steep and beautiful, and a flight of steps leads to the top, where there is a small temple and wide views. Spend around 1.5 hours here. At 10:30 AM, continue to Seethalayyanagiri and the Baba Budangiri hills, a ridge area with dramatic viewpoints and a shrine of historical significance. The winding road alone is worth the trip. Stop for lunch at about 1:00 PM in town or at a plantation restaurant. After lunch at 2:00 PM, visit Manikyadhara Falls, a small, scenic waterfall in the Baba Budangiri area. It is best seen after the rains. At 3:30 PM, drive to a coffee plantation for a guided walk, where you can learn how coffee grows and is processed, and buy fresh powder. At 5:00 PM, visit Hirekolale Lake for a calm end to the day. Back at the hotel by 6:00 PM. Evening free for a bonfire or relaxed dinner. Overnight stay in Chikmagalur.

Day 6: Day 6: Chikmagalur to Belur, Halebidu and BangaloreHave breakfast and check out by 8:00 AM. Drive about 40 minutes to Belur, home of the Chennakeshava Temple. Arrive by 8:45 AM and spend around 1.5 hours looking at the detailed carvings, pillars and the famous bracket figures. The temple complex is still actively used for worship. At 10:30 AM, drive 15 minutes to Halebidu, where the Hoysaleswara Temple is covered in carved stone friezes of elephants, horses, dancers and scenes from epics. Allow about 1.5 hours to explore. Have lunch at 12:30 PM at a local restaurant in Halebidu. After lunch, begin the return drive to Bangalore, around 5 to 5.5 hours, with a tea break along the way near Hassan or Channarayapatna. Expect to reach Bangalore by around 7:00 PM, depending on traffic. Your driver will drop you at your preferred location, ending the tour. Take home a bag of coffee, some spices and plenty of photos.
