Day-wise itinerary

Day 1: Day 1: Calicut to Wayanad, Lakkidi, Pookode and Banasura Sagar8:00 AM: Your driver picks you up from your Calicut hotel, home or railway station. Load the luggage and begin the drive towards Thamarassery. 9:15 AM: Enter Thamarassery Churam and enjoy the hairpin bends, forest views and cool mist. Your driver will stop at a safe point for photos. 10:00 AM: Reach Lakkidi View Point. Enjoy the valley view and a hot tea or roasted corn from the roadside stalls. 11:15 AM: Visit Pookode Lake. Walk around the water, try pedal boating or relax by the shore. 12:45 PM: Have lunch in Kalpetta. Try a Kerala meal, fish curry or Malabar biryani. 2:00 PM: Drive to Banasura Sagar Dam through plantation roads and village views. 2:45 PM: Walk along the dam, look at the islands in the reservoir and enjoy the Banasura hills. Boating is available at certain times, subject to weather. 4:30 PM: Return towards Kalpetta and stop at a local market for tea, spices and snacks. 5:30 PM: Check in at your hotel or resort in Kalpetta or Vythiri. 6:00 PM: Relax, freshen up and enjoy a cool evening with dinner. Overnight stay in Wayanad.
Day 2: Day 2: Soochipara, Edakkal Caves, Phantom Rock and Return8:00 AM: Have breakfast, check out and drive towards Soochipara Waterfalls. 9:00 AM: Walk through the forest path to Soochipara. Enjoy the waterfall and take photos at the permitted viewing points. 11:15 AM: Drive through tea and coffee estates towards Ambalavayal. 12:30 PM: Have lunch near Sultan Bathery at a local restaurant. 1:45 PM: Climb to Edakkal Caves. The path has steps and a short trek, so go at your own pace. See the ancient carvings and enjoy the valley view from the top. 3:45 PM: Stop at Phantom Rock for a quick photo break. 4:15 PM: Begin the drive back to Calicut, with one tea break on the ghat road. 6:00 PM: Cross the Lakkidi and Thamarassery section during evening light, taking care on the bends. 7:30 PM: Reach Calicut. The driver drops you at your hotel, home or station. Trip ends.
