Day-wise itinerary
Day 1: Day 1: Bangalore to Hampi and SightseeingYour Wonder India Cab Trip Zone driver picks you up at 5:00 AM from your home or hotel in Bangalore. Starting this early avoids city traffic and gives you the maximum time in Hampi. Have breakfast at a highway restaurant around 8:00 AM, with a short tea break later. Reach Hampi by about 12:00 PM, check in, freshen up and have lunch by 1:00 PM. At 2:30 PM, begin sightseeing at the Vittala Temple complex, home of the Stone Chariot and the musical pillars. Spend about 90 minutes here, as the carvings deserve time. At 4:15 PM, visit the Royal Enclosure, including the Mahanavami Dibba, Hazara Rama Temple and the Queen's Bath. At 5:15 PM, see the Lotus Mahal and the Elephant Stables, which are close together and easy to cover. Some monuments may close around 5:30 to 6:00 PM, so we keep to the schedule. At 6:00 PM, drive to Hemakuta Hill or the riverside for a short sunset view if time allows, then return to your hotel. Dinner at a local cafe or your hotel restaurant. Overnight stay in Hampi.
Day 2: Day 2: Hampi to BangaloreHave breakfast at 7:00 AM and check out by 7:45 AM. At 8:00 AM, visit the Virupaksha Temple, which is still a place of daily worship, and spend about an hour at the temple, its tall gopuram and the old bazaar street. At 9:15 AM, walk or drive to see the Sasivekalu Ganesha and Kadalekalu Ganesha statues, and enjoy the view from the lower slopes of Hemakuta Hill. By 10:15 AM, begin the drive back to Bangalore, about 6.5 to 7 hours away. Stop for an early lunch at around 12:30 PM near Hospet or Chitradurga, with a tea break in the afternoon. Expect to reach Bangalore by around 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM, depending on traffic. Your driver drops you at your preferred location. If you want to include Chitradurga Fort, we recommend the 3 day plan, as the stop adds about two hours.
