Bangalore Local Sightseeing

Day 1: Day 1: Lalbagh, Temples, Cubbon Park and MG RoadYour driver arrives at your hotel at 8:00 am. After breakfast, you reach Lalbagh Botanical Garden around 8:45 am, when the paths are cool and quiet. Walk past old trees, the lake and the glasshouse, and spend about 90 minutes here. Seasonal flower shows may run at certain times of the year, and entry fees apply. At 10:30 am you drive to the Bull Temple in Basavanagudi to see the giant monolithic Nandi, and then to the nearby Dodda Ganesha Temple. Both are active temples with fixed timings and dress codes, so your driver plans around them. Allow about an hour. Lunch is at 12:30 pm at a local restaurant, where you can try a South Indian meal, or a classic breakfast-style lunch of dosa and filter coffee if you prefer. At 2:00 pm you reach Cubbon Park, a large green space in the heart of the city, and take in the exterior of Vidhana Soudha nearby. If the Government Museum or the Visvesvaraya Museum is open, you can add one of them for about 90 minutes. By 4:30 pm you head to MG Road and Brigade Road for shopping, coffee and street snacks. Around 6:00 pm your driver drops you at your hotel, or at a restaurant of your choice. Overnight in Bangalore.

Day 2: Day 2: Palace, ISKCON and the Old CityAfter breakfast, you leave at 8:30 am for Bangalore Palace, taking the less crowded roads to avoid peak traffic. You arrive around 9:15 am, and spend about 90 minutes exploring the carved wooden interiors, the portrait gallery and the lawns. Entry fees and photography charges apply, and the palace may be closed for private events on some days. At 11:15 am you drive to the ISKCON Temple in Rajajinagar, a large, modern temple complex known for its architecture. Plan around 60 to 90 minutes, and check temple timings, since darshan hours and queues vary, especially on weekends and festival days. Lunch is at 1:00 pm at a local restaurant. At 2:30 pm you visit Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace in the old city, a two-storey wooden building with painted pillars and balconies. After that, at 3:45 pm, you can take an easy walk at Ulsoor Lake or Sankey Tank, depending on the route and your energy. By 5:00 pm you stop at Commercial Street for last-minute shopping. Your driver drops you at your hotel, airport or railway station by 6:00 pm. If you are leaving Bangalore the next morning, tell us in advance and we will adjust the schedule. If you would like to add Nandi Hills at sunrise, we can shift the plan to an early start with a different return time.
