Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1: Day 1: Delhi to Agra and the Taj Mahal
Your driver arrives at your Delhi pickup point at 8:00 am. Take the Yamuna Expressway for a smooth, fast drive, and stop around 10:00 am for breakfast and tea. By 12:30 pm you reach Agra, check in at your hotel and have lunch.
At 3:00 pm you rest and freshen up. At 4:00 pm you head to the Taj Mahal, where your driver drops you near the permitted entry point, and the last stretch may be by walk or battery bus. Plan around two hours inside. The marble glows in the late light, and the gardens and reflecting pool make for lovely photographs. The monument is closed on Fridays, and if your day falls on one, we reorder the days.
By 6:30 pm you return to your hotel or visit a local market for petha, leather goods and marble souvenirs. Dinner and overnight stay in Agra.
Day 2: Day 2: Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri and Mathura
After breakfast, you leave at 8:30 am for Agra Fort, about 2.5 km from the Taj. Spend around two hours exploring the palaces, halls and courtyards, with views of the Taj along the river. At 11:00 am, if you like, you can visit Itmad-ud-Daulah, a delicate marble tomb on the Yamuna, or Mehtab Bagh for a calm garden view of the Taj.
Lunch is at 12:30 pm. At 2:00 pm you drive about 40 km to Fatehpur Sikri, the Mughal capital that was built and then abandoned. Walk through the Jama Masjid, the Buland Darwaza and the palace complex. Plan around two hours here, wear comfortable shoes and carry water. Guides are available at the site, and rates should be agreed in advance.
At 4:45 pm you begin the drive to Mathura, about 1.5 to 2 hours from Fatehpur Sikri. Around 6:45 pm you check in at your hotel in Mathura or Vrindavan. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Day 3: Mathura, Vrindavan and Return to Delhi
Start early, around 7:30 am, with a visit to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura. Security checks are strict, so travel light and leave phones, bags and cameras at the hotel or in the cab, if required. After the visit, walk to Vishram Ghat on the Yamuna for a short pause.
At 10:30 am you drive to Vrindavan. Visit Banke Bihari Temple, where the lanes are narrow and crowded, and keep your belongings secure. Around 12:00 pm you stop at ISKCON Vrindavan, a calm complex with a peaceful atmosphere. Many temples close for an afternoon break, so we plan lunch around that, usually at 1:00 pm.
At 3:00 pm you visit Prem Mandir, a white marble temple with detailed carving, and, depending on timing, Nidhivan or Radha Raman Temple. If you want to see Prem Mandir lit in the evening, tell us in advance and we can adjust the return time.
Around 5:00 pm you begin the drive back to Delhi, with a dinner stop on the way. Depending on traffic, you reach Delhi between 8:30 and 10:00 pm, where your driver drops you at your doorstep.

Know Before You Go
- Carry a valid government photo ID (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport/DL) for every traveller — hotels and some checkpoints ask for it.
- Pack according to One Day Trip From Delhi's season — check the local weather a few days before departure and pack accordingly.
- Keep your booking voucher and driver/vehicle details handy (sent by Cab Trip Zone after confirmation).
- Please be ready at the pickup point 10–15 minutes before the scheduled time to keep the itinerary on track.
- Carry some cash for personal expenses, tips and anything not covered under Inclusions — card/UPI acceptance can be patchy in remote areas.
- Mobile network can be weak in ghats, valleys and remote stretches of the route — inform family of your rough schedule in advance.
- Hill/high-altitude routes can cause motion sickness or breathlessness — carry basic medication and inform the driver if you need frequent stops.
- This is a pilgrimage route — dress modestly at temples, and expect queues during festival dates.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How far is Agra from Delhi and how long does the drive take?
It is roughly 200 to 230 km, and the drive takes about 3.5 to 4.5 hours via the Yamuna Expressway. Fog and weekend traffic can add time.
2. Is the Taj Mahal open every day?
No. It is closed on Fridays for general visitors. If your plan falls on a Friday, we reorder the days. Timings and ticket rules are set by the authorities and can change.
3. Can we take phones and bags into the Mathura and Vrindavan temples?
Rules differ by temple. Krishna Janmabhoomi has strict security and may not allow phones, bags or cameras. Please travel light, and our driver will guide you on the day.
4. Is this package suitable for senior citizens and children?
Yes. The drives are manageable, and the cab allows rest stops. Temple lanes and Fatehpur Sikri involve walking, so any stop can be skipped or done slowly.
5. Are entry tickets, meals and hotels included?
Inclusions depend on your booking. Entry tickets, guide fees and meals are generally paid directly unless stated otherwise. Please confirm with our team while booking.
6. Can the itinerary be customised?
Yes. You can add Govardhan, Barsana, Gokul or an extra night in Vrindavan, or swap spots depending on timings, crowds and festival dates.

Delhi To Agra Mathura Vrindavan 3Day Trip — Travel Guide
Delhi to Agra Mathura Vrindavan 3 Day Trip: Plan Your Heritage and Pilgrimage Journey
Few routes in North India combine history and devotion as neatly as Agra, Mathura and Vrindavan. Within a short distance, you can see the Taj Mahal, a Mughal fort and an abandoned royal city, then walk through lanes where Krishna's birth and childhood are celebrated every day. Our Delhi to Agra Mathura Vrindavan 3 day trip brings all of this into a comfortable private-cab plan that suits families, couples, senior travellers and pilgrim groups.
Route and distances
Delhi to Agra is roughly 200 to 230 km, depending on your pickup point and route, with a drive of about 3.5 to 4.5 hours via the Yamuna Expressway. Agra to Fatehpur Sikri is around 40 km, and Agra to Mathura is about 55 to 60 km. Mathura to Vrindavan is only about 10 to 12 km, and Mathura to Delhi is roughly 150 to 180 km, taking 3 to 4 hours. Fog in winter and heavy traffic on weekends can slow the drive, so we always plan with buffer time.
Why three days is the right length
A single-day Agra trip often leaves no time for anything beyond the Taj. Adding Mathura and Vrindavan in the same weekend feels rushed and tiring. With 3 days and 2 nights, you spend your first evening at the Taj, your second day at the fort and Fatehpur Sikri, and your third day at the temples, without racing through any of them. It is a good length for working professionals who want a long weekend break and families who prefer a steady pace.
What this package covers
Day one covers the drive to Agra and the Taj Mahal at sunset. Day two covers Agra Fort, optional Itmad-ud-Daulah or Mehtab Bagh, Fatehpur Sikri and the evening drive to Mathura. Day three covers Krishna Janmabhoomi, Vishram Ghat, Banke Bihari Temple, ISKCON Vrindavan and Prem Mandir, followed by the return to Delhi. Along the way, you can try Agra's petha, Mathura's peda and local vegetarian thalis.
Why choose a cab package
A Delhi to Agra Mathura Vrindavan cab package removes the stress of changing trains, buses and autos. You travel with one driver and one plan, stop for tea and rest when needed and reach each place at the right time of day. Traffic near the Taj and the temple areas can be heavy, and a local-aware driver knows where to park and which lanes to avoid. If you are travelling with children or elders, the flexibility is especially useful.
Monuments and temples: what to expect
At the Taj Mahal, expect security checks, queues and a ticketing system, and remember that the monument is closed on Fridays. At Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, you walk across large courtyards, so shoes and water are useful. At Mathura and Vrindavan, temple timings, afternoon closures and crowds vary. Bags, phones and cameras may be restricted at some shrines, so travel light.
Great for families, couples and pilgrim groups
Families enjoy the combination of history and temples, with short drives between stops. Pilgrim groups appreciate the focused time in Mathura and Vrindavan. Couples can ask for quieter sunset spots such as Mehtab Bagh. If you are searching for an Agra Mathura Vrindavan tour package from Delhi, this plan gives you the essentials without rushing.
Best time to visit
October to March offers the most pleasant weather for sightseeing. Winter fog can affect the road and the Taj view, so keep buffer time. April to June is hot, so we plan outdoor stops for early morning and evening. During the monsoon, crowds are thinner, but rain can slow movement. Janmashtami, Holi and other festivals bring heavy crowds, so book early and be ready for changes.
Practical tips from our team
Carry photo ID, water and comfortable shoes. Dress modestly at temples. Keep cash for small entry fees, parking and prasad. Avoid carrying valuables in crowded lanes, and watch out for monkeys in Vrindavan. Confirm opening days and ticket rules with your driver, as they can change.
Book with Wonder India Cab Trip Zone
We focus on punctual pickups, clean cabs and courteous drivers who know the Delhi-Agra-Mathura route well. Share your pickup point, travel dates and group size, and our team will help you finalise the plan. Want to add Govardhan, Barsana or an extra night in Vrindavan? Just ask.
